How to Capture Toddler Milestones

Let them play naturally

Don't interrupt their flow to take photos. Capture what they're actually doing.

Shoot from their perspective

Get down to their level. Eye-level photos show what toddlers see.

Capture the mess

Food on face, dirt on clothes, chaos around them. This is real toddlerhood.

Get genuine expressions

Authentic emotions matter more than smiling at camera.

Use plenty of light

Toddlers move fast. Natural light helps you capture action without blur.

Take lots of shots

You might need 20-30 to get 2-3 good ones.

Monthly Growth Comparison Photos

Continue the monthly photo system from babyhood. Same background and position shows growth dramatically.

By age three, comparing month 1 and month 36 shows the complete transformation from baby to little person.

Sharing Toddler Photos

Toddlers are more active and interactive. Photos might show more personality. But privacy still matters.

Avoid sharing:

• Photos during toileting or private moments
